Lionel Messi was the star of the show last night as his hat trick helped down Manchester City in the Champions League group stages.
The Barcelona superstar, who only recently returned from injury, has now hit 16 in 15 games against English sides including two hat-tricks as Pep Guardiola’s side were defeated 4-0 after goalkeeper Claudio Bravo was sent off.
After the game, Messi was pictured alongside his two partners in crime, Neymar and Luis Suarez, clutching the match ball.
The photo was posted on Neymar’s Instagram account with the caption: ‘Great win today boys’. The Brazilian also made it on to the scoresheet with a fine effort to make up for his miss from the penalty spot earlier on.
